Bangkok, 13 October 2025 – The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) successfully convened its 2nd General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand, with the participation of 35 AESF Member Associations and the Executive Board. This Assembly represented the first occasion on which AESF President, Mr. Santi Lothong, presided over the meeting since his election in April 2025. He warmly welcomed all Member Associations and Executive Board Members coming together under one roof and introduced the newly elected Executive Board who will lead the Federation for the next four-year term. He reaffirmed his commitment to serve the Asian esports community with dedication, openness, unity, and solidarity.

AIMS President, Mr. Stephan Fox, attended as a special guest and delivered opening remarks, highlighting the importance of the Olympic movement in the growth of esports. During the Assembly, AESF Secretary General, Mr. Steve Kim, presented the AESF Vision, Mission, and Strategy for the 2025–2029 term, which was approved by the Board. The AESF Unity Charter was also introduced, outlining a collective commitment to unity, solidarity, integrity, responsibility, loyalty, and vision under the spirit of one team and mutual respect. In addition, a new international partnership was established between AESF and the European Esports Federation, and the recently formed partnerships with the United States Esports Federation and the Colombia Esports Federation were shared, reflecting AESF’s expanding global engagement and collaboration beyond Asia. AESF also signed a Memorandum of Intention with the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association for the handover of the Asian Esports Games, which will be hosted in Vietnam in 2026.

The new AESF slogan, “United in Purpose, Guided by Vision, and Solidarity in Bond: Forging Our Future Together,” was officially adopted, reinforcing the Federation’s renewed dedication to strengthen unity, vision, and collaboration across the Asian esports community and beyond. Members were also updated on upcoming major multi-sport events featuring esports, including the 3rd Asian Youth Games Bahrain, the 33rd SEA Games Thailand, and the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya.
In his closing remarks, President Santi reaffirmed AESF’s unity and collective determination to elevate esports across Asia, while emphasizing the importance of working together to shape a sustainable and globally competitive ecosystem. AESF looks forward to working closely with relevant stakeholders to elevate Asian esports to greater heights.
