The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federación Colombiana de Deportes Electrónicos (FEDECOLDE) to further strengthening intercontinental cooperation between Asia and Latin America in Esports governance and education.
The partnership was formalized between AESF Secretary General Mr. Steve Kim and FEDECOLDE President Mr. Alexander Ospina. The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation focused on three key areas: knowledge exchange program, educational partnerships with universities, and collaboration within the Olympic Movement. In addition, the agreement aims to introduce prospective partner national federations in Asia to FEDECOLDE for cross-regional engagement and development.
Mr. Kim welcomed the partnership, highlighting its significance as AESF’s first collaboration with FEDECOLDE, the sole national federation for Electronic Sports in Colombia. He remarked, “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to advancing Esports through education, cultural exchange, and institutional cooperation. By building bridges between Asia and Latin America, we aim to create new pathways for growth and inclusion within the global Esports ecosystem.”
Mr. Ospina shared his enthusiasm, stating, “The alliance between FEDECOLDE and AESF marks a milestone for Esports — one of cooperation, innovation, and global projection that will benefit the joint growth of the digital sports ecosystem.”
The partnership underscores AESF’s ongoing commitment to expanding its reach beyond Asia and strengthening Esports’ position within the Olympic movement.
