Bangkok, 16 September 2025 – The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) has renewed its partnership with HealthyGaming, an organization dedicated to promoting health and well-being within the gaming and esports communities, with a focus on physical, mental and social health advocacy, awareness, education and support.
Through this renewed partnership, both organizations will further strengthen efforts to improve the well-being of athletes and individuals in the esports community through awareness campaigns and educational initiatives. These efforts include organizing workshops and seminars on ergonomics, mental health support, nutrition, and exercise for esports athletes and officials. The collaboration also extends to research projects studying the health impacts of gaming and developing evidence-based guidelines for healthier gaming practices, along with joint participation in forums, dialogues, and other initiatives.
As part of their ongoing collaboration, AESF and HealthyGaming previously hosted a workshop on safeguarding the mental health of athletes, officials, and staff. The session addressed prevention and intervention strategies and examined the root causes of abuse in esports, highlighting the importance of strong support systems.
At AESF, we believe that the success of esports is not measured only by competition and performance, but also by the health and well-being of those who shape our community,” said Mr. Steve Kim, AESF Director General. “Through this renewed partnership with HealthyGaming, we aim to break the stigma around mental health, provide practical tools for athletes and officials to manage challenges, and ensure that esports continues to grow as a positive, supportive, and sustainable ecosystem.”
HealthyGaming CEO, Christoffer Johansson, expressed that “We are very happy to renew our partnership with AESF and strengthen our collaboration. Our partnership expansion will enable us to collectively transition our knowledge and collaborative work into positive, measurable impact and foster a healthy, sustainable ecosystem for all.”
The partnership will continue to strengthen efforts toward creating a healthier esports environment and a supportive community, prioritizing the physical, mental and social well-being of athletes and enthusiasts while contributing to the sustainable growth of the esports industry.
