AESF President Kenneth Fok Envisions A Bright Future For Asian Esports And Extends MoU With PAMESCO At Global Esports Summit

Shenzhen, China, 14 July 2023 – The President of the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF), Kenneth Fok, attended the Global Esports Summit held at the World Exhibition & Convention Centre in Shenzhen, China, on 14 July 2023.

Under the theme, “Link to Future”, this extraordinary event gathers industry experts, visionaries and leaders from around the world to delve into exciting new opportunities and explore the future of the booming Esports industry, not only in Asia but also on a global scale.


Mr. Fok, with his wealth of experience and deep understanding of the Esports landscape graced the Summit and delivered a speech titled, “United for a Bright Future of Asian Esports”. He emphasized the united spirit of Asian Esports and envisions a bright future at the Global Esports Summit 2023.


He stated, "Asian Esports has emerged as an outstanding leader in this booming industry, driven by collaboration and unity among Esports communities, athletes, publishers, and stakeholders. Our success is evident in the remarkable revenue growth, with Asia and MENA accounting for 56% of global Esports revenue. We are grateful for the support and cooperation of Olympic Council of Asia and National Olympic Committees, member associations, partners, publishers, and Esports athletes and fans in realizing this dream.”


Mr. Fok also highlighted the recent achievements of the Road to Asian Games program and mentioned the upcoming RDAG Regionals in Hangzhou and Seoul. Additionally, he announced the introduction of the AESF Asian Cup, a premier international Esports competition that will shape the industry for years to come. AESF remains committed to fostering sustainable development, strengthening infrastructure, and nurturing the next generation of Esports talents. Mr. Fok called upon all organizations and stakeholders to join AESF in creating a sustainable, inclusive, and thriving Esports ecosystem in Asia and beyond.

The Summit also witnessed a momentous occasion as the AESF and the Pan American Esports Confederation (PAMESCO) celebrated the signing of an extended agreement to their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement, presented by Sebastian Lau, AESF's Director-General, marks a significant step in fostering collaboration and innovation between the two governing bodies.


Under the extended agreement, AESF and PAMESCO will collaborate on various initiatives, including the development of the ASIA-PAN AMERICA Champions CUP (APSC) competition. Additionally, they will create opportunities to promote unity between the continents.

Mr. Lau expressed his congratulations to AESF and PAMESCO on this additional initiative, emphasizing the significance of their collaborative journey and the inspiration it provides to others in the Esports community. Mr. Lau, officially presented the signed MoU alongside Daniel Cossi, Founder of PAMESCO.
