AESF Welcomes UCA as Full Member

The AESF is pleased to announce that the Uzbekistan Cybersport Association (UCA) has become a full member. 


Founded in 2017, the UCA stands as a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to propelling the Esports landscape within Uzbekistan. Over the years, it has solidified its position as a pivotal force in the country's Esports development, earning accolades from key entities like the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Justice. Notably, UCA has garnered support from various governmental bodies including the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Sports, and the Agency for Youth Affairs.


On November 16, 2022, a significant milestone was achieved when the President of Uzbekistan signed Decree No. 423, titled "On Additional Measures for the Further Development and Widespread Promotion of Types of Esports." With this decree, Esports solidified its status as an integral part of Uzbekistan's sporting landscape.

  • Collaboration with governmental institutions to integrate Esports into the social and cultural life of Uzbekistan
  • Developing partnerships with foreign Esports organizations and participation in international events
  • Promoting Esports through collaborations with bloggers, media, and PR strategies
  • Organizing and conducting large-scale Esports competitions and tournaments.

  • Uzbekistan currently has a population of 37 million, with more than 50% actively engaging with PC and mobile games

The Uzbekistan national Esports team has been represented on the global stage over seven times, competing in various countries such as Republic of Türkiye, Singapore, China PR, Republic of Korea, and Qatar. Notably, they clinched the title of Asian Oceanian Champion in CS2 Esports discipline in 2023 and secured the championship in FIFA for the Central Asian region.


The UCA continues to play a key role in the development of Esports in the country, actively collaborating with both local and international organizations. Through their efforts, Esports in Uzbekistan is witnessing a surge in popularity and recognition, offering new avenues for youth engagement and bolstering the nation's technological advancement.


By being an official member of the AESF, member countries receive benefits such as federation support, networking as well as eligibility to officially compete in all regional AESF tournaments.
