Dato’ Sri Megat D Shariman Zaharudin, a member of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) Board of Governors, has been elected as the sub-regional representative for Southeast Asia on the Asian Paralympic Committee (AsPC) Executive Board. He will serve a four-year term from 2023 to 2027 as the region's representative within the AsPC Executive Committee. This election was held in Hangzhou, China, coinciding with the ongoing 4^th Asian Para Games.

As a regional representative, Dato’ Sri Megat D Shahriman will establish close collaboration and strengthen the ties between the APSF and AsPC, ensuring the region's interests are upheld in matters related to various paralympic activities and policies within the Asian region.

“APSF expresses its eagerness to maintain active involvement in empowering para-athletes, activities, and plans in the region over the next four years and beyond”, as articulated by APSF President Major Gen Osoth Bhavilai. The AESF and APSF have established a partnership to advance and promote Esports among para-athletes in Southeast Asia. This collaboration involves APSF's participation in AESF's 'Esports for All' Program Task Force, as well as their joint efforts to study and identify classification types for para-athletes in the realm of Esports.
