27 May 2023, Beijing, China PR – In an exceptional collaboration, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF), and Zhongguancun Development (ZGC) Group jointly hosted a parallel forum centered around the Digital Sports industry.

The highly anticipated forum brought together global leaders, sports science and technology think tanks, industry partners, and new technological talents to discuss the great potential of digital sports, its application with support of technology and various possibilities with digital sports. 

Under the overarching goal of sports digitization, the forum featured captivating discussions encompassing various aspects of the digital sports landscape. Especially, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence Electronic Sports (AI Esports), sports content, sports competition, and sports scenes, the aim was to harness the power of digital sports to drive technology advancement, promote environmental sustainability, and establish a global benchmark for the digital sports industry to benefit societies globally.

Some of the insightful conversations and topics covered included:

1. Deep Empowerment of the Digital Sports Industry: Exploring the support provided by 5G computing networks and engines for upgrading traditional sports competitions and the development of virtual sports.
2. Technology Development and Application in Digital Sports Events: The remarkable growth and impact of Esports in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games were examined as a prime example.
3. Digital Technology's Application and Outlook in Traditional Sports Events: Unveiling the potential of real-time rendering technology, immersive viewing experiences, and other digital advancements.
4. Innovative Applications of Digital Technology in Large-Scale Sports Events: The transformative role of digital technology in venue construction and operation, event services, security, and more.

This collaborative effort fostered a robust and inclusive environment where global experts shared insights, exchanged ideas, and developed strategies to propel the digital sports industry forward. By harnessing the collective wisdom and expertise of industry leaders, this forum’s aim is to drive innovation and create a blueprint for the future of digital sports.
