21 AUG 24

Overview

The “Your Home Your Arena” (YHYA) Campaign is a community and inclusion program aimed at uniting the esports community, providing entertainment, and promoting the importance of community support by carrying out charitable causes across Asia. As part of the campaign, the YHYA Charity Cup 2024 brought together five participating teams from Central Asia to compete, collaborate, and contribute to a greater cause—supporting unity, equality, inclusivity, and diversity in esports, with an emphasis on increasing women's representation within the esports community and the development of women’s esports in Central Asia.

Event Highlights

The YHYA Charity Cup 2024 was held online from August 17th to 18th 2024, in the Central Asian region. Five countries—Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan—united to participate in the Charity Cup. Eight athletes competed in the 1v1 open category eFootball 2024 (mobile) online competition. The competition was not limited to top-tier athletes and teams; it was also open to amateur players, providing equal opportunities for all interested participants.

Prize Pool

The top three winners of this competition were entitled to a total prize pool of USD 6,000, with Team Kazakhstan earning the first prize of USD 2,500, Team Uzbekistan taking second place with USD 2,000, and Team Turkmenistan securing third place with USD 1,500. The prize money will be used to support women's development and community programs in the winners' respective countries.

Media Coverage

For the first time, the AESF collaborated with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) to broadcast the YHYA Charity Cup 2024 across multiple platforms, including national television networks and digital online streaming platforms in ABU member countries. Afghanistan (Ariana Television), Cambodia (CNC Sports Channel), Indonesia (TVRI Sports Channel), and Myanmar (MRTV Sports Channel) showed keen interest and actively promoted the YHYA campaign, highlighting the impact and importance of this charitable initiative. This partnership explores new ways to further strengthen the collaboration between esports and traditional media channels, reaching a broader audience.

The AESF also live-streamed the competition on its official social media channels, including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, featuring skilled casters who provided commentary in English by Desaifer and in Russian by Elaman and Vladimir, enhancing the viewing experience for a diverse audience.

Future Plans

Building on the success of the 2024 edition, the AESF will continue this community-based program and rotate it to the next Asian regions, South Asia and West Asia. The YHYA Charity Cup aims to expand its reach in the coming years. Plans include increasing the number of participating countries, expanding prize pools, and strengthening partnerships with broadcasters and sponsors. The ultimate goal is to create an even more impactful event that continues to support and empower communities through esports.
